The family Christmas party was Saturday night. I got to hang out with Tim, eat a lot of hummus and pita chips, play Scene It, decorate a gingerbread man, and talk scrapbooking with Lisa. Amy bought me an amazing book on interior design elements in sitcom sets. It's pretty thorough and absolutely fascinating, especially since I'm such a set nerd

I'm glad you enjoyed Megamind! I want to see it. I usually don't like Will Ferrell, but I've always loved him when he does voices!

Do you guys usually wait to put up decorations, or is that just how it happened this year? I know some people like to wait or just don't do it at all, but I love decorating, haha.

We've never had a traditional time to put up decorations. Sometimes we only put up the tree, and that's at the last minute on Christmas Eve. (There was a period of about three years when we had our tree up in the basement and just never took it down.) I love decorating, but it still seems like a parent's job to me (especially with outdoor lights), so what usually happens is that I pester them for a few weeks and then do it myself if I have to.

But I think we're getting the tree up tonight!
