Why can't they use their powers for good?

Nothing like waking up to a jillion bounce messages for a spam message sent to EVERYONE EVER from my primary email address. Grrrr.

Malwarebytes & Spybot run just in case (everything appears clean), password changed.

Now, of course, half the western world has my address flagged as spam. Just dandy. :-P

Ugh. I had that happen when I did the fiscally responsible thing a couple of years ago and closed out an old, old email account. (Oy, the hoops I had to clear to get it closed!) Less than a month later, some spammer had picked it up and was sending out regular crap to everyone on that account's mailing list, which included my new email. I was so pissed off, especially because the old email company wouldn't do squat about it.

Here's hoping yours was a one-time thing that doesn't have too huge an impact.

Ugh. Charming. Much sympathy, especially at the lack of service. :-(

Thankfully, I don't really expect any further problems from this, other than possibly winding up in some people's spam folders.

I just delete the spam, and ignore it. It happens.
