Proceed with caution

Until the person who got inadvertently spoiled for BH 3.8 gets back to me, I don't know if it's because cut-tags are borked or LJ had a temporary brain fart or what.

But just in case the cut-tag text with the spoiler warning isn't showing up right, DO NOT READ the posts from the last couple days entitled "Love and sacrifice" and "Two things" until ( Read more... )

Looked fine to me yesterday, looks fine today. I expect they just clicked through the cut link without registering what it said.

You might want to include a spoiler warning in the actual text above the cut tag for people like that.

Thanks. Under the circumstances, best to take all the precautions I can.

Or old-fashioned spoiler space behind the cut tag instead? Just an alternate idea. ~shrug~

I concur with Brainiacfive; it looked fine before to me, and still looks right to me, and I would have noticed if it didn't, since I'm trying to stay unspoiled myself. I appreciate your efforts to support that!

One more thought: On DW, you can set your account to automatically expand any cut-tag, so you always see all the text. I don't think that's possible on LJ, but I wanted to raise the concept, in case it was somehow related. Anyone who sets her DW account that way is just asking to be spoiled...

I added that this morning on the one that starts in midsentence, and may start doing it again as a matter of course. I'd gotten out of the habit, as cut-tags seemed to make it moot and unwieldy, but better safe and all that.

I don't post on DW, and I don't think it can happen on LJ, but you never know.

In any case, it doesn't matter whose fault it is. It happened, and I didn't want it to, and someone's season experience has been compromised. Frustrating. :-(

Thanks for the thoughts.
