We had an incredibly productive day here in Flora Vale that I just had to post about.

admire the whole "back to nature" thang my Woodstock generation started, I don't really want to plow the back 40 and can preserves for the winterLOL! Neither do I! Although, we do plan on canning this year. However, I am a farm boy. Seriously a farmer. Grew up on 40+ acres of my grandfather's farm in Texas. 100+ head of Red Angus cattle, huge vegetable gardens, orchards, and more. And Leah and I both have worked in the organic farming industry, and we used to be hands and I was barn boss for a while, on an 80 head Thoroughbred horse ranch. Because we have done all this, we are now crafts people, (still ALOT of work) with a hobby garden. We KNOW how much work all that is

I've done all that work myself, though on a bit smaller scale. You're so right: there's no satisfaction like it. To create a healthy, beautiful and productive space to live in makes it feel like all's right with the world.
