I love the UK but the endless rain would get to me after a while, too. I sympathize.

Rain is never great, but it's particularly annoying when you're travelling; we were lucky to have such a fab flat to hole up in, but imagine we'd stayed at a B&B or a hotel -- there wouldn't have been mucht to do.

It was a great trip.

for those who don't read my LJ (I'll get posts up for those who do, i PROMISE), it was Terry Jones who did the commentary for Doune Castle - and it was *hilarious* - there were kids with the headsets on listening intently. You don't usually see that. They should have all of the commentaries written in that sort of style because people would really learn something.

I've always loved Scotland -- and I'll certainly be back. If I wanted sun and sea for my holidays, I'd go to the Mediterranean.
