A few years ago, we had a bird of some sort hanging out in the park behind our house that sounded *exactly* like a kookaburra. It was there all summer, disappeared for a winter and was back the next summer... but we haven't heard it since. While we don't have mockingbirds here, it would totally not surprised me that one of the crows picked up the call by hanging out near the zoo or something and liked the way it sounded.
I have had mockingbirds around with amazing ranges of calls (including one, for a while, that could do a toucan!) -- no crows around, but mockers are amazing!
I like it, too. Lots of storage space! It totally rocks.
Shouldn't be too bad -- I'm in charge of answering complaints, and if there's a gripe about it, I can own up and tell 'em what I did. I love being all "buck stops here" within my unit...
It can be a tiny bit stressful at times, but yeah, on the whole. Today I got an email that was gigantically sarcastic from one of our "business partners" -- I set it aside and won't answer until I can without being snide.... :)

I'm sure they'll take the cage in in late December, but right now it's still pretty hot outside during the days!

I feel like crap on Sunday myself. Planning to head to bed early. Also, my jaw is hurting. I must have been clenching it again.
