[ barnaby's in town when he gets the call, trying to distract himself from his lingering Extreme Holiday Blues with some shopping. when kotetsu's voice rings out from his PDA he stiffens - something about his partner's tone - something is making the hairs on the back of his neck stand up.

he stiffens and raises his wrist. ]

[He breathlessly skids to a stop, looking around, listening for any sounds of his followers. They're so fast... how are they following him so good??]

[He's cut off when one of the droids flies from the brush and throws him backwards when he moves to defend. There's nothing fun about bouncing along the ground like a hockey puck, but at least his power's still functioning for another two minutes.
