So we're nearly done with a lot of things - summer is over, Torchwood is done (on a number of levels) and there's just two episodes left of Who. Things seem to be shifting in my personal life as well - hopefully for the better. So I just wanted to put down a few random thoughts and bits while they occurred to me.

Yeah, Torchwood was a huge disappointment, and the new American cast are boring (pulled directly from CIA central casting... boring bureaucratic cardboard people who like to act tough). I had thought that Jane Espenson would add some much needed humor and good character moments, but really I don't think she added anything ( ... )

I think the problem I have with JE is that she seemed so pleased with the series on her Twitter. The ratings fell quite sharply over here so it's very much up in the air if they get another go.

I'll get the next "Dick Francis" book in paperback, see what I think. But for the moment, I have a wonderful surplus of Wodehouse to be getting on with. Tally ho!
