Ooh, verrrry interesting to see this little glimpse of the White Lotus long term game plan, Azula taking power etc. Or at least Jeong Jeong's take on it. Iroh's non-committal little "you will be ready" is so conveniently vague. Is he really a Chessmaster, or is he just going to smile at the end however things turn out and let people give him credit for planning it all? ::grin:: Zuko's training with Jeong Jeong made me sad though. How is he going to get to dragon dance in this reality? I so want him to get to have that moment of ultimate firebending awesome. Not just "good enough". Oh, Zuko.

Don't worry about the Dragon Dance! Things will work themselves out in that regard, I promise ;3

As for Jeong Jeong -- while Iroh obviously has a lot of sympathy for what Zuko's gone through this summer and how conflicted he must feel, JJ is himself so wholly focused on What Needs To Be Done in the largest possible sense that it's difficult for him to even understand what Zuko's problem is. It's not obvious to him that there could BE a reason for refusing to go back to the Fire Nation other than cowardice -- that Zuko might genuinely think that he's needed elsewhere, or that his own role in world politics isn't important enough that anyone would miss him.

Oh, Zuko, INDEED. :|

Two things that really got me: Zuko Firebending while in bed with Jet in the end, and this line: Such a small thing, really, but wasn't that how lives were built? A long chain of small things all strung together, each flowing into the next.

Awwww, this chapter was so sweet! I'm so glad Jet and Zuko finally made up and got together again. <3 LOL, and I feel like I'm just as worried as Zuko is that he'll be recalled to the Fire Nation for the sake of duty and Azula-beating. Fire Nation Jet? I suppose it could happen, but it's difficult to picture. ;)
