Authors Notes: For the
tf_rare_pairing weekly challenge - Ravage/Starscream - The Decepticon Feline Appreciation Society. I really tried to make it as non-cracky as I could, but yeah… Okay, okay, I admit, I misread the prompt, but I’ll try and make up for it with another one? And yes, totally showing my age/musical proclivities with the title! Cookies for those who get it without googling.

Soundwave couldn’t work out where Ravage kept disappearing too after each mission. The feline would report in, take a little energon from his ration and then disappear until it was time to recharge. And often, he wouldn’t even reappear then. It seemed like a little reconnaissance was in order.
After the next mission, Soundwave waited until Ravage gave his report. There was little for the feline to report on this time. He had been in the factory with Frenzy and Rumble, overseeing the energon collection. There were few humans left, and those that were didn’t have the nerve to even think about attacking the small Decepticons. Once Ravage had finished reporting (including letting Soundwave know that Rumble and Frenzy were arguing yet again), Soundwave nodded, letting the feline know that he was dismissed. Contrary to popular belief, Soundwave’s cassettes didn’t spend every moment of their waking life with him. He appreciated that they had their own individuality, and enjoyed spending time apart from one another. Provided they didn’t get into trouble (like Rumble and Frenzy were wont to do), Megatron allowed them the privileges afforded to the rest of the Decepticons. They had free reign of the Nemesis and their own allocated rations.
“Ravage, you must refuel soon.” The symbiotic link that connected them meant that he was able to check up on Ravage’s systems status.
“Understood.” Ravage’s optics glinted briefly before he lowered his head, padding across the room to the door. All it took was for Soundwave to send out a small electromagnetic wave that would ensure a constant connection to Ravage.

Ravage stalked down the corridor. He had a place to be, and the time it had taken him to report on the energon raid meant that he was running late. Not that the mech he was meeting would mind too much he hoped. From what he’d last seen, the mech wasn’t in much of a condition to complain about anything.
“Ah Ravage, I was beginning to wonder if you would be able to join us.” Hook’s cultured drawl sounded in Ravage’s audios as soon as the door to the repair bay slid open.
“Sorry.” He tilted his head in apology.
“I took the liberty of collecting an energon ration for you.” Dead End stood up and pulled out a cube of energon from his subspace, setting it down on the floor. Ravage made a grateful noise and sat down next to the cube.
“How is Starscream?” He asked, looking at Hook.
“He’ll be online shortly. He took more damage than I would have expected, but he will be fine.” Nodding, Ravage started lapping at his energon. Dead End sat down next to him, one hand stroking down the cassetticon’s back. It was strange to be meeting in the repair bay; normally they met somewhere where they couldn’t be interrupted. But with Starscream injured…
Ravage finished his energon, licking his lips and curling up next to Dead End. There wasn’t much he could do at times like this, but he wanted to wait. He couldn’t leave, not without seeing Starscream.
“Do you remember how we first met?” Dead End murmured, not ceasing his stroking of Ravage.
“It’s difficult to forget.” Hook commented dryly, checking one last time on Starscream before lowering himself to the floor in front of Ravage and Dead End.
“I thought I was strange being fascinated by you.” Dead End looked up as Hook sat down, returning his attention to Ravage. He continued speaking quietly, both of them just basking in the relative calm that surrounded them.
“You started without me?” Finally a scratchy voice interrupted them. Starscream was back online and struggling to sit up. Almost immediately, Ravage jumped up onto the berth, stretching out on Starscream’s legs and prompting the Seeker to grumble.
“Don’t be like that.” Ravage butted against Starscream’s cockpit.
“The cat’s right.” Hook helped Starscream sit a little more comfortably.
“I’m always right.” Ravage smirked, staring up at Starscream.

Soundwave recoiled at the feelings being transmitted through the symbiotic link. He’d tracked Ravage’s location to the repair bay, somewhere he hadn’t expected to find the feline. Especially with Starscream still recuperating. But those feelings changed everything. He could feel affection for Starscream. And for Hook and Dead End. They were… stroking Ravage… and he was enjoying it. What was it, some sort of feline appreciation meeting? Shaking his head, Soundwave severed the link, not wishing to intrude too much on Ravage’s privacy. He would just have to keep an optic on what the feline was up to.
