My take on Lauritzen Gardens: it's like the zoo ... but for plants! It's really beautiful there and will be even more impressive later in the season. My favorite was the Victorian Garden, the Children's Garden and the Bird Sanctuary where we sat on the swinging bench watching wild turkeys walk by. Afterwards we stopped at the Cork for a bit. I

On the story, take five minutes and record it. I never got to do an oral history on a great aunt and regret it always.
I first learned how to ride a bike in the 4th grade or so, taught by the neighbor boy named David who was my age but went to Catholic school. We'd have a lesson and then watch reruns of Dukes of Hazzard on tv. He said someday he'd marry me but then his family moved away and I never saw or heard from him again.
