good news and bad news!

First, somebody help. I was in the middle of making a music video for FFX. I closed it, came back to it, and now it won't open. The program itself will, but the specific video will not. It says, "WMM has encountered a problem and needs to close," or some similar thing. And then it asks about fucking error reports. Goddamn. Anybody know what to do? ( Read more... )

UM. SAINT GRANDMA OWNS A HORSE FARM. She used to be a pretty big racer, so I know how to trot and stuff, but horses are big, and I'm kind of tiny and crushable and VERY UNCOMFORTABLE.

As for the MV, FIRST, I hope it was Gippalai, because they're none on youtube.

THAT HAS HAPPENED TO ME WITH THE GIMP. Since I have it installed on both computers, I email the file to myself and start on the other file, which in itself kind of sucks, because I use as least 20 layers in a picture. If that doesn't work, I go back to my last save point, (I save as different files in stages, like I save the sketch, the lineart, the flat colors, depth coloring, and the final product. I have never done MVs, but I think that's a good idea.)

At some point, I might have to start over. And that sucks like a bitch, but that's art. You have to erase and start over. (I did that gippalai picture three times--the first was perfect, but I lost it in a crash, the second was disgusting, and I deleted it when I finished, and the third made it through the cut.)

I AM SO FUCKING JEALOUS. NOBODY IN MY FAMILY LIKES HORSES.

It wasn't Gippalai. I would have no idea how to do that! I mean, there are the Crimson Spheres, and the Normal Ending, and... that's about it, right? And the CS are pretty bad quality, what with the sloppy graphics and the fuzziness. This video was actually Tidus/Yuna.

A lot of the times if you just reopen WMM, it'll say it retrieved an unsaved project and ask if you want to open it. It might not be the whole thing, but it's usually pretty good.

WMM is not your friend. SAVE OFTEN. (I save every time I put in a fucking scene... though since I got my new computer, WMM doesn't really crash anymore. =) Either way, it's a great habit to have, saving. I'm a save!whore. xD)

It's not that I hadn't saved - I know it can retrieve unsaved projects, and that's saved my ass before - I closed it after having saved, and when I came back to it, it didn't want to open.

Whatever, I deleted ffdshow and it took care of the problem, thankfully.

GOD I HATE WMM.

OHHHH. Yeah.

WMM? Nobody's friend.

Actually, I have nice things to say about it, surprisingly enough. It's really easy to use, and clip splitting is amazingly simple.

Oh, it's great in most ways. I would have its babies if I didn't think they'd come out with IQs of negative eighteen, y'know?
