i need to come back and reread and just WALLOW in the wonder that this fic is. there are so many MANY brilliant pieces that make up the voice of this that .. it's too hard to just say how much i loved and i'm sure I missed because I read too fast and... its brilliant. OBVIOUSLY
makes sense that we would love with it as well. for once you start loving someone, parts of them start to replace the role of your vital organs. you stop thinking about it in terms of ventricular and aortic and your heart stops pumping hemoglobin; it pumps lavender, ink, and a voice (it pumps a name).
like that - brilliant. So many feelings - hating HATING harry and how he is and Liam and his breathing and Niall being an OAK and Zayn hating himself and
i saw that you rec-ed my fic so THANK YOU SO MUCH for that!
each of the character definitely have their own role and dynamic in all this so i'm glad you've found it enjoyable and i hope to explore each faucet of the characters' personality so hopefully you'll find good qualities you enjoy in all of them!
i'm sorry that you're in pain, darling :( and maybe i'm awful but i smiled when you said you were trying to breathe with liam??? like i was happy you connected on such an emotional level (and also because i've done the same thing, breathe with liam that is, while i was writing).
please don't cry!!! and i'm so terrible glad you've enjoyed this and thank YOU for reading and commenting!
and also: holy shit. thank you. this was, this is--it's so good i don't even know where to start. i finished it precisely on the standing ovation the audience gave the performer on the version of nocturne i'm listening to, and that is exactly what i want to do. stand up and clap until my hands are raw because that is how the rest of me feels. for a story that surpasses the 10k mark, it feels surprisingly short. maybe it's because of the feelings, the untangling of threads that liam goes through and that felt so personal, that you managed to convey so well, but i find that (sort of) poetic prose makes me want to leave poetic comments, so that's probably what's happening right now
( ... )
can i just say that you've made me SO HAPPY because you were listening to nocturne while you were reading this? i wasn't really sure if people really take music recommendations so i flailed when you told me you did!
and THANK YOU for what you said about the AUs because writing AU always leaves so much room for criticism and doubt because the WORLD they're in is so different but the people are real, so they have to react in a way that the readers find fitting so i get entirely what you're saying and i'm glad that you found their actions logical and that you enjoyed the all the literary references throughout and the appearances of the characters because it makes me feel like i've found the right balance! (please don't get me STARTED on ts eliot).
and frank ocean. the fandom crooner. that's what i deem him.
I am full of mixed up emotions, this was so good but I hate it, because I hate Harry and drugs and Zayn for being weak and Liam for just letting things happen and being so Liam about everything. I just, I want you to take this in a good way, because this is amazing, but you made me feel feelings that I don't want to feel right now so I kinda want to scream and run away.
haha each of the characters definitely have their flaw and their wrongs and that'll be explored and discovered more as the sequence goes on. thank you so much for reading!
