Dan's school this year have decided to do A Christmas Carol for the Year 2s and Dan to his delight has been cast as Scrooge's nephew Fred. We have a proper script and we're rehearsing every night. That sounds like excellent fun! The Muppets Christmas Carol is third in my all time list of best films, behind only The Princess Bride and The Muppets Treasure Island... :)

It's a brilliant idea. The school have gone all out and actually invested in some proper costumes and the children are taking it very seriously. They had to audition for speaking parts and I think Dan may secretly be hoping that Edward falls ill so he can be Scrooge. He did tell me that the girl who is playing Gonzo who is playing Charles Dickens has to wear a blue nose but I think that might be wishful thinking.
