Some empty space

It's been a very long time since I wrote here, and I suspect that most readers who paid attention to what I wrote have long since moved on. I moved on too. In the empty space left by Heath's death I began to write my own fiction under my own name. I won a few competitions and got published here and there.

And now I have a book, a short story ( Read more... )

Hi, Marian,

Surprise!! I'm still around, can you believe it? This is such exciting news. I certainly plan to hunt your book down. I'm looking forward to it.

I've met quite a few new people interested in BBM and old stories, and wanting to know, who's who? How was their stories? Do you have any to share? I try and pop into Wranglers or Find it here, a few times a week. It seems with the new generation coming up, people are starting to see the movie for the first time.

I have managed to keep in contact with a few of the 'old original members'. But the one thing I have always done, if anyone that I knew published BBM stories, or original fiction, I always buy their novels.

I know there are others that poke their heads in occasionally, so hopefully, you will get more people stopping in and saying 'hi'.

Congratulations on your published work!

Hugs and Love,

Cat

Hi, Cat,

How lovely to get a reply and to know that there are still new people discovering BBM for the first time. I have occasionally read through some of my old stuff and winced a little but I will never take it down because there might be an old or new reader who will enjoy it. And I remember how much I relied on BBM fanfic to get me through those emotion-drenched days and months and years.

It was such a community we had back then, wasn't it. So many friendships made, so many feelings shared. It changed my life. My stories may be a world away from BBM but they still have their roots in those glorious and painful days post-2006. I hope you enjoy my book down the track.

Keep climbing that mountain.

Cheers

Marian
