This post is a little bit scary to write because I prefer to hide behind my nom de plume, Wild Columbine. However, as I mentioned previously, in the real world I've finally taken a few steps in writing non-BBM fiction under my own name, with some success. Yes indeed, Linda! I started entering competitions last year, and while I've had a few rejections I've also had some success.

Yes, these two stories are my first to be published "properly". The first one I mentioned, which appears in an anthology, won a major competition and was then on the competition website, but that isn't like really being published. because it won a prize it was eligible to be in the anthology. I'm aiming to have something else in next year's ;)

The second one, Danny Boy, will hopefully also be available in real paper and ink next year. In the meantime I'm hoping a few people buy it online and give it a try.

Aww, you did it:) I love your style:) Your J&E stories were those I re-read many times for the beauty of the language, among other things:)

Thank you! It's a whole different experience to be writing stories which start from scratch - no shared information with a reader unless I write it. However, I've carried over a few tricks I learned from Annie Proulx plus I think my style hasn't changed at all. One thing which I've got from writing fan fiction and getting feedback from lovely people like you is the confidence to just go for something and not worry about it. I honed my style writing about our lovely boys.
