oh no- why is this over already???? I wanted to read more about their lifes I've always loved your writing-Outland is still one of my favourite stories and this is no exception you always explore these men from a different angle and I really like it. It's interesting and something to think about. This story isn't easy to read- so many lost opportunities, so many lost years and Ellis sure led no good life but there's a good life and hope in the end. thank you for this Paula
I suspect that if it had gone on any longer it would have got repetitive :) Thank you so much for your support and for your kind words about The Outland. Writing is such a pleasure but it's even better when readers enjoy it.
thank you so much for this: a fresh take that is really in character with the story and movie i love. i am glad you finished it, because i love to see grown up j and e and their lives, plenty to think about. a great beginning, middle, and end, and sustained energy throughout: this is right up there with outland, one of my all time favorites. i will watch for you in case more good stuff comes,
After saying I was probably finished with BBM I fnd another story nagging away at my brain so you never know, there may be more. The original story has a way of never letting go of us, that's for sure. Thank you for your support - very much appreciated.
As much as I wanted this to turn into an URF of epich proportions, I have to say - it´s perfect as it is. The description of their new place in Wyoming was beyond beautiful, and I´m happy to think of Ellis there. And it´s wonderful how you worked "the punch" and "the kiss" here. Clara
Thank you! I wasn't sure if it would all come together in the end but somehow it did. I think now that they are on their property together, readers can fill in the rest of the details themselves. I like to keep things short. Thank you for your ongoing support.
Ah well, I don't like to drag things out. Once I'd got them in a good place it was time to say goodbye. I'm glad you found it a worthwhile story to read. Thank you.
Thank you for your story and your look into the rough hard lives of men who have to live this kind of hidden life. I'm happy in the end that he and Jesse are together on their own place and looking to a bright future together just making each day work. I'm also happy that Ellis is reconnecting with his daughter whom I think probably is mature enough to partially understand him and may come to bring a lot of light into his life. If it works out for them maybe this story shows hope for those in the closet out their doing the same things these men did and it is never too late at 40, 60, 70 or 80. Joe
Joe, it's never too late to make positive changes while we still have the chance. Even the roughest life can have some light eventually. I loved writing Ellis's story, and while I don't know anyone who has had such a hard time I do know men who are still tormenting themselves with their secret and leading lives which will never really bring satisfaction as a result. It breaks my heart. Thank you for all your lovely comments.
