Absolutely fantastic. I love the way you write John. It feels so plausible. Yes, he's tough and mean, but he has his reasons and he's never unreasonable. And it's obvious that he loves his boys as well.
I also liked his early comments about Mary. I think you've captured their relationship perfectly.
Thanks for a wonderful early Christmas present.

I'm glad you get where I'm coming from with John. He is tough and mean but his reasons are so very clear to me and I try to make them clear to everyone else. As long as he loves his kids he will try to make the best decisions for them, even if they are not always right!

So happy you enjoyed and that I got your Christmas off to an early and positive start!

Wow I loved this! A little different as your usual style and so beautifully written. It just wanted to hug all three of them. Especially Dean. ( but then i would always hug Dean.) Loved the mention of Jeff Banner. Maybe Jeff is the reason that the Winchesters decided to settle down in this Texas town? Great job and thank you for sharing.

It is different. So different I wasn't sure I could pull it off. I really struggled with this one. But it is supposed to be a continuation of John's Journal. Granted, John has never been as "wordy" as he is in my head and he probably would have never been as verbose in his journal. Still, I wanted to get in his head and this is where it lead. So glad you liked the shout out to the Banners (and Jamie and River too!) I figured a few folks would pick up on it. I like to think that Jeff is instrumental in John and the boys settling there.

Maybe there should be fic? What do you think?

1stly: I think you pulled it off just great.It is such a great read.

2endly: YES! I think there should be a fic how John and the boys decided to settle down. I can just imagine Dean holding baby Jamie and looking on the internet for a safe place to raise his son and John remembering Jeff Banner and this town in Texas.

I just thought of this little promt for you. Maybe you like it. Jamie, River and J.R get into trouble at school and are sent home.The terrible trio is not happy about that and neither is Jeff Banner. After they show the boys the error of their ways, they get into talking on how the Winchesters and Banners first meet.

But you probably can come up with something better, that is why i am shutting up now. =)
