When they pulled up to the house, the Jeep was there and River slid out of the passenger seat and headed up to the house, his father just a half step behind. River has grown up quite a bit. He's also learning about personal responsibility and making the right decisions. When he lived with Sunshine, he had personal responsibility in a different way - but not in a healthy way. He was responsible for himself completely because he had no adult to guide him. While that shows he is adaptable and innovative - the boy who was thrown into the Winchesters at 12 was not the same kid we see now. Thanks for noticing the change.
In terms of Jamie or River? I'm not sure who is older. I've never mentioned their birthdays and haven't even thought about it. You are right though, I'm thinking maybe only a month or two apart.
As usual, thanks for the comments. I love writing about the boys but it does take a large chunk of my time so having someone appreciate it is lovely.

I'm glad you like reading about River and Jamie. They are my own personal Sam and Dean!

I agree with Daniela, River and Jamie both have grown and evolved so much since you started writing them. I think the best part about reading your stories is that they feel real. You write your characters in a way that portrays all of their faults and weaknesses alongside their glowing attributes without just coming out and saying it.
Thank you so much for writing this and all of your other wonderful stories.
