XXX

When they pulled up to the house, the Jeep was there and River slid out of the passenger seat and headed up to the house, his father just a half step behind.   He still hadn’t been able to figure out this “make your own punishment” strategy and his head hurt too much too think much more on it.  He walked to the kitchen and grabbed two Tylenol, ( Read more... )

Awe...so glad you liked. Jamie and River make a helluva team, even when Jamie cleans River's clock.

The more I read about River the more i like him. =) Just two days ago i read all your River stories. He has grown up amazingly. he is not the scared little kid anymore. I liked that Sam was not impressed by River having sex. 16 is still very young to have sex. I always wondered who is older Jamie or River? Not that it is important but i like to know this kind of stuff, i know i am weird. I always imagined that they are not more then two month apart. Anyway great work and thank you for sharing.

How wonderful you've grown to like River. He's a fun character to write. Oddly enough, just like Jamie, he is because of a prompt from a reader.

River has grown up quite a bit. He's also learning about personal responsibility and making the right decisions. When he lived with Sunshine, he had personal responsibility in a different way - but not in a healthy way. He was responsible for himself completely because he had no adult to guide him. While that shows he is adaptable and innovative - the boy who was thrown into the Winchesters at 12 was not the same kid we see now. Thanks for noticing the change.

In terms of Jamie or River? I'm not sure who is older. I've never mentioned their birthdays and haven't even thought about it. You are right though, I'm thinking maybe only a month or two apart.

As usual, thanks for the comments. I love writing about the boys but it does take a large chunk of my time so having someone appreciate it is lovely.

Poor River-- he didn't even want to go out in the first place and look what he got himself into. I'm sure he wouldn't take most of it back though. I'm pretty sure I like reading your Jamie and River stories more than others now-- they have definitely grown to become some of my favorite characters.

This was great as always. Can't wait to see what you come up with next!

Yeah, he didn't want to go but I'm quite sure despite the butt kicking, he would do it all over again. Well, some of it. :)

I'm glad you like reading about River and Jamie. They are my own personal Sam and Dean!

Great second part, pickle and the essay for Sam on STDs should really be illustrated with appropriately puke~inducing Syphilitic sores;p. xxx

Oh yeah. Maybe River won't even print them off the internet. I mean, I can see Jamie and River laughing like twelve year olds drawing incredibly large pornographic penises with gross stuff coming out of them and hideous sores and then giving it to Sam.

"See, Dad - Jamie and I decided to work on the artwork together for you!"

I just realized that I never actually left a comment on this second part and now I feel like a bad fan. Sorry about that.

I agree with Daniela, River and Jamie both have grown and evolved so much since you started writing them. I think the best part about reading your stories is that they feel real. You write your characters in a way that portrays all of their faults and weaknesses alongside their glowing attributes without just coming out and saying it.

Thank you so much for writing this and all of your other wonderful stories.

And I feel like a stupid writer because I never commented to you comment. I was re-reading because I'm working on another River fic and that evolution you are talking about is important to me. I like some continuity and the realism you mentioned. I forget where and what I've written about the boys sometimes. :) I'm such a dipstick.

Thanks Azzy.

I promise you are not stupid. :D You have no idea how stupidly happy it makes me that you're writing another River Fic.

I'm glad. Because River is so being a bitch. He needs a beat down of Winchester like proportions.
