Glad you made it to Israel. Sorry your visit to Paris was so short. But now you have a story to tell... you can add it to the collection.
As for the way you landed, I can think of two possibilities. The first is that the plane had to be flying in the correct direction relative to the wind in order to land. (And also relative to the planes on the ground)
The second is that other planes had to land first - but that seems less likely, given that it is more likely that other flights were made to circle while yours made an emergency landing. (Or, worse still, other flights could have been diverted to other area airports - as happened to my parents, as you may recall)
Glad you made it to the Pooh family without incident, even without my directions.
