Soup Obsession

Oh, I'll always blame it on the weather - the perennially autumnal mood of the fog inspiring me to sleep, stay in, make soup and little more beyond the requirements of work and school. The soup lasts nearly a week, it takes the evening to prepare. (Because a good stock needs a few hours of simmering to leach all the nutrients from the bones.)

just as at the end of summer i start thinking of sweaters & tights i also daydream about making warm vegetable soup.
oh, and tons of black pepper is essential!
