You should have approached it this way: apply to internships, get accepted to internship and then convince parents to take it and stay in LA.

But I gotta say the internships here this summer are fierce competition. Am sure that I will be unemployed/un-interned by May all over again if I don't get my shit together and apply to more job openings. Come on, internship hunting starts now! well kind of started last month...
