I've decided that I'm going to leave all my fandomy posts unlocked, instead of locking them per usual. So sorry if you friended me just for fic, because now you're going to get my opinions on television as well. Run while you still can.

I agree with everything you just said. 'Cept the part about not liking Torchwood series 1 & 2. I liked them - didn't love them, but thought they were alright enough. Though I too have always thought Jack was a big ol' chunk of cheddar cheese at times.

I think there are lots of reasons to like the first two seasons of Torchwood, but I just don't think I was ever able to forgive it for not being as good as Doctor Who. I just was never able to love the characters as much, but I did still watch them all. :)

Yes, I suddenly found myself liking Gwen, too - and she's always bugged the hell out of me prior to this. Couldn't work out why, as I liked her in the Charles Dickens episode. It's like someone's just mentioned it to RTD, and the penny dropped and he decided to something about her.

The inclusion of UNIT was a bit of a non-event for me - they were hampered by the fact that Martha was supposed to be in the series, then she got another job (apparently ditto for Micky, as per the set up in Journey's End, although his absence was less obvious) and couldn't do both - mind you, useless UNIT versus Martha in all five episodes - I'd pick UNIT every time. And where was Malcolm during all this?

UNIT's incompetence was a bit disappointing for me. I love UNIT, I wanted them to help save the day, but instead they went along with the government and didn't even attempt to give the 456 a stern lecture like Jack. Yes! Malcolm and Magambo were sadly missing.

And I'm with you, I've never really liked Gwen before, but now I really like her and I'm glad she survived.

The general consesus (of the sane and awesome) seem to be along the lines of this post.

- Ianto's sister pwning Gwen was awesome. The look on Gwen's face when she realizes she never really knew Ianto and now he's deaaad...

- OMG YES. the 456 being high totally explains why they were so slow and kept vomiting on the walls, they were high as kites.

- Did you notice that some of the Face of Boe's dreads look like testicles? (If you squint.)

- Jack's demise didn't really get to me. TBH I am sort of glad he's gone for a while.

JEESUS CHRISTMAS WILL BE SO AWFUL (But hopefully epic and amazing). OMG POOR TEN. POOR US D: D: D:

I guess Torchwood fandom has kind of exploded about all of this. I don't really know because I only have a couple of Torchwoody people on my flist but I think its all been construed as very srs. business. Which is funny, because it's Torchwood.
