I grovel in awe at angel_negra's feet. Without her, this fic would not be even close to legible.

Post-series Alice (2009). Even in Wonderland, fairytales hadn't come true in a long time. Alice and Hatter face their Happy Ever After.

Another fandom I've yet to get the gist of - Sorry that I wasn't able to appreciate any refferences in that respect (backstory seems very interesting nonetheless)
Following on from that though, this fic was very well written, with good use of plot devices and development. I Liked how you've kept the more emotional scenes well balanced, allowing the reader to empathise without getting overly dramtic - which could easily have ruined the emotional connection you've created with the characters here.

Also, loving the Journey quote - beautifully appropriate! ♥

Alice is based on the idea that a girl called Alice really did visit a place called Wonderland. But that was 150 years ago, and in the years since the Queen of Hearts has risen to power. She's found a way to kidnap people from our world {they're known as Oysters} and drain them of their emotions, which she then parcels out to her populace to keep them under control. The Looking Glass is the portal between worlds. Her son, Jack, flees to our world with the control for the Glass, which is a ring, and gives it to Alice. He's hoping that without any new Oysters his mother's power will crumble. The Queen sends her secret Police, the White Rabbit, after him, but he skips the ring to Alice. When she chases them, she falls through the Glass and ends up in Wonderland.

Lots of other stuff then happens, which I'll gladly tell you about if you like, but if you think you might watch it I won't spoil it for you.

The Journey quote inspired the whole thing! It's good, isn't it? lol.
