Unsure if I'm going to read. I do love your fics, but I've never seen the Hobbit and don't know any of the characters, so I'd be pretty lost. I don't even know who's an elf or dwarf or what.

It's VERY AU. So, frankly, you can probably get a lot out of it without knowing the canon. And if not, the first three chapters are short. :) Mine isn't. It's 8k+. Honestly, we use the events of The Hobbit and LOTR as inspiration rather than a framework.

I took a shot, read the first 2... But I'm just too lost. I have no idea who or what any of these people are, or even if half of them are male or female, or if it's our world or some variation of the LotR world (which I'm not familiar with) and I just gave up.
