No! Don't meet guys on the bus! Yr just giving hope to all of the mouthbreathers who don't know that a book and headphones are a clear "don't talk to me" signal.
I know- we actually discussed this over dinner. He said that had I been wearing headphones he wouldn't have spoken to me, because it would have crossed the line from "mildly invasive" to "totally invasive"... so I think I'm in the clear in terms of setting bad precedents!
sounds great!!! Odd (just from my freaky monastic perspective) and cathartic at once, and, indeed healthy. I wonder now, how did people describe the experience of being re-started before computers and computer metaphores existed?!
Ahahaha, it's odd from my perspective, too! If every week was that eventful, I'd probably go insane. I think I have to go back to being a bit monastic myself, perhaps, at least for awhile! And in English, anyways, before re-starting I guess it was "turning over a new leaf." Which hearkens all the way back to prehistory, perhaps? Very cryptic and forest-living-oriented, it seems to me.
