Just general observations here...I've noticed that geeks in general don't tend to do fitness as fitness that well. For myself, it has to be something *fun*. If I'm playing basketball, I'll gladly "exercise" all day, but put me in front of a weigh machine or tell me I *have* to do it on a regular basis, and I rebel

I've also been motivated when I've been able to combine my geekiness with motivation for exercise. A few years back I took the "Walk to Rivendell" challenge, which was great because I had maps of Middle-earth on my wall to trace routes on from Hobbiton to Rivendell and then on to Lothlorien. I've never walked more consistently than when I was on that challenge.
I need to find a way to turn Wii Fit into a geek challenge :).
