Mar 10, 2010 14:50

I haven't wrote fanfiction in years, but Mass Effect is too beautiful a creation to not indulge in. *o*
so, here are some ideas that have been rampaging through my head, for those interested. :D

I know how you feel. I think we've all got this defined idea of what /our/ Shepard's like, that reading about someone else's can be really weird sometimes. x3 The Krogan's I'm particularly keen on, since they're... well, /Krogan/. And there has to be so much back story into their culture, the various rites, etc~ I just love the aliens! xD

[Hello! Seen you around on the ME comm before, though I'd pop in and see what's going over over here in your journal, hope you don't mind.]

Ooh, I hope to see these get written! You've got some great ideas there. I'm especially interested in the Garrus one, although that may be because he's my new favourite alien ever since ME2 came along. I've seen lots of fics dealing with interaction between Shep and Garrus when she stops him taking the shot, not so much from the other perspective, so this would be refreshing to read.

Also, I'm interested in the Grunt one. Perhaps the thing I love most about ME is the aliens - I wish we could see even more of their culture and ways through the games and the tie-ins.

(I don't mind at all! thanks for stopping by! 8D)

Thank you very much! It was after seeing all those fics in question that the idea popped into my head - my main!Shep always lets him take the shot, for reasons I hope to explore in the story, and it would be nice to explore how the differences in choice would change Garrus' character and if it /would/ alter him in the end.

I share your love :D the aliens are my favourite part of the story, and how their ways of living differs from ours. I particularly love the tribal, clan culture of the Krogan and the various rites they go through. Muwaha! <3

3 -- UNTITLED
After the battle against the Collector's, Shepard must prepare for the oncoming onslaught of the Reapers. She sets off on a search to find a Prothean Cipher rumoured to contain the weaknesses of the Reapers - but it doesn't go quite to plan.
(Action/Adventure/Romance?) (Fem!Shep/Thane) (pretty much includes all the crew, and how they act to save Shepard) (chaptered story)

This is my favourite idea of yours. I love the Protheans, there are so few stories about them. Fics which include the whole crew are also rare - but what really makes me love this plot bunny is that THEY are saving Shepard from whatever threatens her, and I imagine them to be both worried/caring and badass/butt-kicking to do it, especially Thane and Garrus.

*is embarrassed now* Ugh, sorry, I barraged here in when I found this entry and talked without even introducing myself. ^^' I know you from the Mass Effect community and then stumbled over this, and I was hooked. I hope you might try this plot idea some day.

Don't worry about it at all! :D I'm honoured that you visited :)

And thank you for the comment! I'm also fond of the Cipher idea, I've always wanted to explore more about what sort of information they contain, and the Protheans themselves in general. It'll also be nice to have the crew being the ones to save the day, rather than Shepard. :D This is probably the most likely fic to happen, haha. <3

Thank you again! :) feel free to drop by anytime!
