Much as I would *love* to have you back on this side of the planet, I do feel downcast for you.

This sucks a lot.

How long is Himself's job for? Is it open-ended, or is there a fixed contract?

ALSO. It is not failure. It really isn't. It's a shitty set of economic circumstances.

I am still really hoping you get something awesome just round the corner, but if home has more going for it - more support systems, greater personal/emotional security (MOAR DANCE) then it is where you should be.

So fraught - I love it here, the lifestyle opportunities just can't be beaten by what's on offer back home. And I haven't seen and done everything I wanted to yet! NOES! And yet I do so miss the dance scene and the shoe shopping. *sigh*

Going home now would be DEFEAT AND WOE, because it would be forced and not on my terms.

Himself's job is open-ended, although our visas are only until Aug 2012. I let myself get all fantasied-up on this job with the BIG SALARY! Which would mean I could BE HERE ith the awesome lifestyle and yet possibly afford to VISIT HOME and maybe VISIT EGYPT, thus solving dance and shoe crises! Yay!

Sucker. :o(
