I think I'm bemusing my parents with Scribblenauts, with lines like
  • Wow!  The mosque has a tenny-tiny imam in it
  • You can use fairy lights like a rope!  Watch me walk my achaeoptryx now
  • Looklooklook - Anubis is set to protect mummies!
     
Still haven't played much of the actual linear game - too hypnotised by the sandbox part.

Bats follow the vampire (but don't create a vampire in the proper game - he's utterly sick). The vampire is repelled by garlic, and equipping a cross is the only way I've managed to harm him. He kills all humanoids and turns them into undead (even god).
I did wonder about pirates vs ninjas, but never when I've had my DS to hand.
No luck with Horus, Osiris or Isis. You can get a Hades, which is either the grim reaper or the entrance to the underworld.
Have you tried LHC (as in large hadron collider)?

Yeah, I mean the begining bit by sandbox (don't know what it's officially called)
