I'm loving this series of short stories from your counselling and behavioural work. As someone with an interest in mental health and social issues, I find them intriguing. They're also filled with pathos, wit, and colour. Your eye for detail is wonderful.

I love this description:

She was a fit brown woman with bands of tribal tattoos winding around her neck. They were somehow
erotic, twisting snakelike down into her respectable pink blouse. I tried not to wonder where they ended up.

And am confused by this sentence:

“Anywhere’s fine. We’re doing Center Time so the kids get to pick what they’re doing and switch activities when them.”“Anywhere’s fine. We’re doing Center Time so the kids get to pick what they’re doing and switch activities when them.”

Didyou miss some words?

Again, thanks for sharing.

Great, as always. This line though, "“Help,” the guy says." confused me for a minute. I had to read back to see if you specified the gender of the playground aid or counselor- at first I thought you meant Mano was speaking.

Wow, this really hit home for me and brought back some memories of one of my most recent classes. I am currently working on my masters degree in teaching and took a behavior management course and we discussed events such as this.

Good job

Learning that auntie is a common respectful title makes me wonder over your user name. :D As always, you are vividly descriptive and bring your characters to life! I too have enjoyed your RL series!
Excellent job!
See ya in Week 1 September!
