Wow! This story was well-paced, packed with detail, and the dialogue was spot-on. You seem to have a real handle on sociopaths and what makes them tick...I mean, as much as anyone could ever REALLY know about someone with no conscience. The idea that we're all just "marks..." incredible.

I love your pieces based on counselling sessions. They're always so well written and emotive. The picture you've created of Loki is unsettlingly vivid. Especially how eager he seemed to tell you some of his horror stories. Good luck this week :).

The most scary part of this piece is that it is real. OMG -- that scares me more than I can say. (Even more in light of the fact that I may be studying for my paralegal certification sometime soon.) Good luck!
