Roderich wasn't really baking, per se.

Well, he was. But he'd lost track of time. Namely because his mind wasn't particularly on the subject of baking anymore.

The apricot glaze had been poured over the cake, then chilled, and there was just a little bit left over. He moved on to making the chocolate glaze to go over it. He'd always been skilled at ( Read more... )

Now, Hungary wasn’t normally as nosey as she was being today, but the smell of jam and chocolate was such a tempting thing. Really, she was curious as to just what he was up to with it, knowing full well that anything using those two substances would end up absolutely delicious no matter… where they were used. That and, well, she had little else she was doing today other than simply checking up on things to make sure nothing was in an absolute state of disrepair. She knew how he could get lost in his thoughts for hours at a time and that tended to not be good for other things.

Humming softly to herself she made her way towards the kitchen, having decided for the day to wear something she hadn’t really worn lately. Just a simple green and black corset over a loose relatively low-cut white peasant shirt and a typical skirt. It wasn’t too out of her normal, but the corset was the thing in particular she hadn’t worn in a while. The snort that followed wasn't exactly a sound he'd like to be famous for making.

"I guess you'd have to make sure there aren't too many ... air bubbles in it..." And now he was just giggling. "That doesn't make any sense."

A brow was raised at that snort, head tilting a little at the noise. Really, she wasn’t used to him making such a noise and it threw her a bit of a loop. Even more so than what he was saying, really. A tiny bit of a pout accompanied her next words, placing her chin on his shoulder this time.

“And what is so funny about that, hm? I merely was stating an observation.”

Though that chocolate is rather messy. Smirking a little she shifted to take a finger and take a bit from his cheek, lightly sucking on her finger afterward to be rid of that little substance. ... For once she wasn’t actually aware of what she was doing, to be perfectly honest.
