I've also been made to feel that wanting things, especially wanting to be happy, made me a spoiled worthless sack of shit. I can't count how many times in my life my parents could have done something ridiculously simple that would make me life a million times better and they refused because it gave them some kind of sick pleasure knowing that I wasn't being raised with a silver spoon, so to speak.

Now I live with someone so utterly unpractical that I'm always getting chewed out for being TOO practical. This whole getting married thing is tough because it IS a party just for me. (Of course my parents think I should just go to the court house and forget about a wedding, and they remind me of such constantly)

Bleh, get the XBOX.

DON'T DO IT.

If you want a "real" wedding, BLOODY WELL HAVE ONE. Knowing how you are, you could squeeze a 5-star shindig out of the smallest of budgets. Seriously. If you want to go to the court house, then go to the courthouse. It's about what YOU and your intended want. (But really, mostly you.) Or at least it's supposed to be. Don't let anyone take that from you.

i'm not a huge console gamer (i like the wii mostly), but the 360 is impressive in terms of online game play.

I briefly thought of getting a Wii, just for Wii Sports and Wii Fitness. However, there aren't currently a whole lot of other games I would want to play.

I've seen my friends Chad and Jeff play CoD4 online, and it looked like a lot of fun. I'm not usually into shooters, but it was still cool. :) That and Rock Band, but I think you have Rock Band for the Wii, right?

we actually have Rock Band for Xbox, i got it for nick last year when it came out. we like it, but overall, as a two player game, we don't use it much. but for parties, it is always a big hit. for one or two players, we get much more use out of Guitar Hero.

nick loves CoD and he just got the new one (World at War?). i like those kinds of games but i suck at them. but he plays it all the time with the guys he works with. its a time-sucker, but a fun one.

also- if you have Netflix, we've been enjoying that integration. :)
