I feel for you. I broke my fibula last year just before Christmas. I gave up on the stairs and spent the next few weeks sleeping in a recliner downstairs--the same level as the kitchen, TV, books, computer and everything else I could possibly want.
Showers were the worst. D:
Don't worry about sleeping so much. Remind yourself that's when your body is healing the most. You need the rest. Take lots of calcium (Tums are the best).
Aww Widget, I'm glad you're home and doing better though. You will get the hang of crutches, they're just a bit awkward, and it will hopefully be better when you get a light cast on too.
