how was it? what did your dad think of the concert? did you guys have a nice time together? i wish my dad was nearby - and still speaking to me! ha ha ha. he lives in philadelphia and his girlfriend is not fond of me (no love lost, there).

We went to see Van Halen at the Toyota Center. Growing up, Eddie was my idol on the guitar. My dad also plays guitar and introduced me to Van Halen when I was 4. My taste in music has changed, but I still admire Ed's love of his work.
The concert was actually exceptionally good. Everyone was having such a good time and it was really all about the music. I found myself smiling back at the band. They just looked so happy to be there- and it's rare that musicians realize the gift they have while they still possess it.
My parents have been married 25 years and both live in North Houston.
