...and then he heard it again, the softly ringing bells. He ran as the sound tickled his ears, drawing him deeper and deeper into the forest. When it drew him to a wall of shrubs he pushed his way through, finding a clearing on the other side. It was there that he discovered that the ringing bells weren't bells at all, but the melodious laughter of a beautiful girl duck. She sat at the center of the clearing, eyes closed as she sung a joyous melody with the four ducklings surrounding her. She was by far the most beautiful creature Donald had ever seen.
The image of Donald being a weary traveler who happens upon a group of Fae in the forest and falling in love with Daisy as a Fae, popped into my head.
