1) I agree with your letter completely. It's practically propaganda. 2) I see you posting on that writingfeedback group all of the time, and your comments really seem to have some weight to them. I just started this community on tumblr, (not tumblr exclusive) that is kind of like the LJ community, but will hopefully see some more insightful writers (the LJ one's sort of going downhill). I don't know. If you get this message and maybe have somehting buzzing on your mind you'd like to get feedback on, consider posting. I'd love to read it (i'm not posting this on everyone's pages, i promise) and i'm sure alot of the other people there would too.
I'm actually gonna stick to WritingFeedback - I've been there since like, sophomore year of high school, which was about 6 years ago now. It tends to go in circles; it'll be not great for a while and then start up again. Tends to be whenever the more experienced writers are busy/not writing for whatever reason it tends to be a bit slow.
I haven't done nearly enough writing in the past year or so, but who knows, if I finish something and don't get any good crit on LJ, maybe I'll head on over :).
