What's for dinner?

I've decided to keep track of what's for dinner in here. And like, post the recipe (sorta) if I actually... you know... cook. It will be interesting to see just how often I default to ordering chinese or making a quick curry-from-a-can ( Read more... )

This is my modus operandi when being inventive in the kitchen. :)

I'd call it a frying pan if it was on the stove, since it's a freestanding electrical appliance all it's own, I call it a skillet. Don't know why :)

With most meat, it's a better idea to figure out about how long you want to cook them and only flip them halfway, and then do multi-flipping toward the end of cooking to get everything as nice and brown as you want it, if just cooking didn't.

Putting the lid on (I just put the lid on for a minute or two near the end for most "frying meat" type dishes steams them a bit so the edges/sides look more cooked/cooked nicer.
