I'm home from the attempt to witness the Inauguration Swearing In in person. Man, what a disappointment. I comfort myself in knowing that at least I was shoulder to shoulder sharing goodwill with thousands of others who didn't make it on to the National Mall, either, but were all there for the same reason ( Read more... )

I'm sorry it was such a bust. But you were in DC - that's something!

(and I didn't even see/hear much of it, thanks to an impossibly slow connection at work and no sound on the computer I was on!! ARGH!!)

I'm so sorry. :( At least you got to be there and enjoy the energy?

If it's any consolation, I didn't even see it on TV; no televisions at work and we're banned from streaming video for personal purposes. I've seen recaps and reruns, but that's it.
