Question about importing LJ content to word press

I am trying to import EBSQ's existing blog (which is technically an LJ community blog) to word press without luck. I try to work as that community's user, grab the xml file, go to wp, browse for the file on my local, select import, wp tells me i'm good to go, and i get nada. Is this because it's a community blog? Or am I missing something else?

Yup, particularly since that's all I'll get to see of the play. Waited too long to book our flight, hotel,etc, and now we can't afford to go :(
