Prologue
It wasn't supposed to happen this way. It was supposed to be me. I was supposed to be in that grave, silent. Not him. It was my fault. They told me it wasn't my fault, but I knew it was. If it wasn't for me, if it wasn't for me loving him, this never would have happened. I can see his mother, I can see her tears. I created those tears, I know I did. She told me it wasn't my fault, it was his, but if it wasn't for me, he wouldn't have killed the one I loved. He could have taken me, not the beautiful man I fell in love with.
He was a coward, he took the one I loved and took himself too. I hated him for it. Because of him, I was alone. The one I loved was gone.
It was all like a bad dream. The shot, the noise, the scream and the blinding light. And then that was it. I was woken. Woken in hospital with my own mother sitting beside me, silent tears on her face. I could hear my heart breaking when I was told. Maybe it just died all together. He was my heart, my soul and without him, I was nothing.
His brother and father was there too, their faces were passive, watching as their brother and son was lowered into the ground. They, too, lost someone they loved and it was my fault. They say it wasn't my fault, but I know it was.
I still remembered how it all started. It was accident, but I know it was a good accident. Because what would I be if I never met him.
