Just a bit of fun with Hyde. Worksafe. Feel free to adopt it and edit it as you might want.

Sooo much love for this. I'm not usually hugely interested in the manips (talented and high-quality though they may be) because guys aren't really my thing, but there's such a strong undercurrent to this one that I keep coming back to it. Put Hyde in a bit more clothing (because the masses, they are touchy) and it could be the poster for the second series, easy. :) Hell, I would argue with the censors that it would do fine as-is, it's that perfect. One request - do you possibly have a version with a little less glare? I don't want to be any trouble or anything, but I'd love to see more of the details of the shredded magazine. In conclusion, really, really awesome. :D

Thanks so much for your kind words. I know photo manips are an acquired taste to a certain extent so I really appreciate you taking the time to look and comment. I fell in love with the base image because of the pose and action of it. I envisioned it as a sort of promo shot so I would have preferred a bit less skin as well, especially since making the chest hair is always a challenge. It tends to come out a bit too sharp and just off which is why I distort things with more contrast and noise reduction which mellows the hair and intensifies the colors. But I'm glad to offer up the less contrasy, less smoothed out version. The magazine itself doesn't get too much clearer but it helps a little.

Wait, you made the chest hair? *gapes*

I just love the feelings behind this picture. It's more than just a handsome guy posing handsomely (or bloodily, since it's Hyde); his disdain for Science, and specifically the cover article, the meaning behind it being all shredded, the... everything. So much symbolism. Really, you should send this to Moffat. :) Maybe it'll inspire him to take a smidgen of time out of his busy day on Who and start pecking away at more Jekyll. I mean, when's the last time the Doctor went up against those humans in cheap-ass giant alien bee costumes? Or got trapped in the hallways behind the sound stage an ancient labyrinth? A little low-tech wouldn't kill him, and it would give writers more time to... write other things. ;)
