Okay, I'm pleading for forgiveness from my Buffy friends. I know you've had to suffer endless non-Buffy related posts and I hope this somehow rights how I've wronged you. This took an unacceptable amount of time to get done. It's very rough and raw and unbeta'd but I had to get it up before I went insane with rewrites. It's also rather long.

I am so glad you continue to dip into the forbidden moors of Buffy/Ethan. I used to follow your wickedfox site but when the updates seemed to stop and my 2 favorite stories had not been finished I grew distraught. *cry* The great authors always quit too soon!
But alas! A light...!
I stumbled upon this site by pure karma last week in an attempt to find more B/E stories!
...and now I have 3 favorites by you that are unfinished... :P

Honestly, I'm still not sure when I believe Ethan that he wasn't behind Buffy's string of bad luck. I wouldn't put it past him to be manipulating the situation.

I do like, that Buffy is maturing a little in that she feels bad that she was rude and goes to admit that. And the fact that it then leads to sex is of course a good thing.

I do love the banter with them at the beginning. Ethan's got Buffy's number and knows how to push her buttons. I can't wait to see what it's like with Giles thrown in the mix because both Ethan and Buffy know how to stir his pot.

“Yeah, same here.” She gave a thankful smile. “I guess we can kill two birds, then.”

“Is that your usual nightly ritual or something special just for me?”

“You know what I mean.”

“Why start now?”

Favorite bit in the whole chapter! I think those are dead-on voices for both of them.

And I so don't believe Ethan when he says he was not behind Buffy's misfortune. If he wasn't, somebody else had to have been. Giles, setting them up? Some other annoying person?

Looks like everyone is rather mistrusting of Ethan and his innocence in Buffy's misfortune.
