Scene: Curtain goes up to reveal a serene library, students randomly scattered tables, examining a bookshelf. Izzie, the main character, sits alone at a table, math book, calculator, and various papers and notebooks and other math related tools around her as she scribbles madly.

f(x)=x^3 is the inverse of the cube root of x because the cube rute of x is the same thing as x^1/3 and 1/3 is the reciprocal of 3.

Tangent of theta times cosecant of theta equals the secant of theta because tangentx=sinx/cosx and cscx=1/sinx. So, sinx/cosx x 1/sinx = sinx/cosxsinx which equals 1/cosx which equals secantx.
