Last Monday, I had my first dissection. I didn't get to slice open anybody or even to watch it being sliced open. We were studying the respiratory system, the ribs and the vertebrae [backbones] associated with it, so the breastplate of the cadaver [a woman, by the looks of it] had already been cut ( Read more... )

I couldn't do the cadaver thing Danu. I'd be too creeped out I'm afraid. You're a braver man than I!

I didn't actually get to see the body getting dissected, it was already cut open. We just saw her lungs and heart etc. But it was pretty awe-inspiring.

There actually was an odor of something dead, but it wasn't a very in-your-face smell, you know? It was like this background smell that we got used to after a while.

He was a nice guy, but he was kinda drunk.. plus I didn't wanna leave the dance floor so early. I told you just 'cause you're so nice! :)

hehehe - thanks, but really, I wasn't asking for details. No really, I wasn't ;-) (hard to convince, isn't it).

As for being drunk, well, yes, you get that in bars and clubs. It tends to be a good ice-breaker. Some guys may not have the courage to hit on a cutie like you without a couple of beers in them, so try not to judge that too harshly - you can always give them your number, if you like them, and tell them to call you when they're sober :)

Anyway, I understand it's your birthday today, so happy birthday babe! Hope you'll have some time to go out on the town this evening and enjoy yourself :)
