So today we learnt about cleavage in Chemistry. Apparently, salt crystals have cleavage. I think I'd better stay the heck away from table salt

For me, those directions would read better as: Pour two cups of confusion into a large bowl slathered in "what the hell is oxalic acid?". Add hefty amounts of frustration, a generous sprinkling of swear words, and heave out the window to cool.

Thankfully I'm not in your chemistry class, huh? lol
