Last Monday, a guy got beaten up by a bunch of immature Arab men, right in front of my dad's hardware store. The reason: he wouldn't give them way when they tried to cut into a jam-packed line of cars waiting to get to the roundabout ( Read more... )

Dang! I've read that many Arabs in oil-rich nations seem to think they're FAR better than the "hired help" from other countries that actually do most of the work (even if they are "brother/sister Muslims"), but that's pretty disgusting! :-(

A lot of Arabs [and a growing number of well-off Indians and Pakistanis] seem to think that they're somehow better than the rest of the population. Maids hired to help around the house are regularly beaten up/raped/impregnated and abandoned by their employers, for instance. And the religious authorities, who can wield a considerable amount of pressure against such things seem to be doing nothing at all to help :(
On the other hand, I've noticed that the white immigrants to this country are seldom in the news for such actions. How, then, do these fundementalists blame the West for corrupting the youth and bullshit like that?

It's just a matter of pride, I guess. Young men of all nationalities have a LOT of pride here, because the opposite sex has to be impressed. They carry this pride everywhere, even to the roads.
That's sick, about the Muslim Arab boys beating the Christian boys up.
What kind of explanation would they give for their actions? "Oh, hey, this bugger wasn't giving me way to go, so I flew into a rage and pulled him and his son out of their car and let them have a few punches and kicks, humiliating them in front of everyone. My baba will bail me out."

A double insult, not only do these young punks get to bully their way around town, there is no retribution either. I guess it won't be stopping any time soon. Sorry to hear it... :-)
