I just woke up to find a new Wicked Australia newsletter email. Read it online here. Mostly about Wicked Day, merch, Qantas and Rob Guest
( Read more... )
Finally (!!) going to see Wicked. Mum and I are going down to Melbs next week... which would be better - to go to a matinee or a night performance? I'd rather a night, mum would rather a matinee because she doesn't want to walk around the city at night... so which do you think it better?
With shows in general, there's usually a higher chance of getting the principle cast over understudies for an evening performance - but I don't know how true that is for Wicked.
From my experience I've found audiences are more into the show during evening performances, and if you're stuck in B reserve at a matinee, you might have to be prepared to deal with some really loud and annoying people. :P
But really, the performance will be just as awesome, no matter which. So maybe do a matinee for your mum's sake? Though there is nothing scary about that area at night.
Edit: But also know that going on such short notice will probably mean you won't get great seats. :(
Yeah, that was also in another text message to me. All of these vague rumours are actually doing my head in. I just want details and confirmation and things I can actually report for sure. :P
