Well ... I just couldn't fell into sleep for some problems ... and decided to find somebody's LJ, finding it with "interests" "Sugar Magnolia" .. the first one I've found was your's and ... you know these days I decided to make a tatoo, and I found this yor message interesting and funny in some way ...

I'm not a true Deadhead, but for the last 10 Years GD is becoming my more and more loved band )))

And ... I'd like to speak with many kinds of people in all roud the world, to listen "how' it's there" nad to tell "how it's in the land of Ikra and samovary" )))

I'm an artist - first of all I'm a photographer (my Grandfather was one of the greatest Soviet Photographers, and I'm very Grateful to him for this, for my way)... There are some pictures of "this our reality in my LJ" so I wonder what you'll say about it ... )) My LJ is generally in Russian, but I can explain, what's in the pictures, if you'll find it interesting...

well hi there!! *cups hands around mouth and yells to Russia, waving enthusiastically*

I'm always a little amazed when someone contacts me on this...I guess I find it hard to believe that other people actually read it...I'm hardly ever on anymore since my computer died and internet access is limited, but when I checked my email today I had to respond to you.
I scrolled through your journal, and looked at the pics on your first page. Loved them. It's sooo great to me, to see other people in different countries, strange situations, with the same universal facial expressions. I liked that your pictures captured an essence..a bit of the subjects personality, emotion and lifestyle. Great.
Even though I can't read russian, I'd love to add you as a friend just for the pleasure of looking at your pictures when you post them. Please??
Thanks for writing me, I live for this kind of thing

Hi there, too, Thank you for the answer… All of my life a was a little bit afraid of the future, since my childhood I was sure, that “Heaven is in the Past”. Since the very early days of my life I was crazy about the computers… Back then these machines played different role, than tooday, and later when “The new Wonderfull World” was coming… I was weary about it … But now I realized, that like the chemical drugs, the Digital Technology, can both make wonders and make evil … It’s like wine … If you are strong or wise - it can make you feel better, when you need it, if you are weak or evil, it will make a slave, like in that song “blind&dirty… asking for a cup of cofee”… And when I read, that some “WEB2.0” is coming, first I was afraid, that is’s jus one more stupid wave of technology improvements, like new transfer protocols or new browsers… But now I realised, that it’s great… it’s essentially new stage … Maybe software and hardware remained more or less the same, but the idea changed … Now the Internet really can make one’s real, not ( ... )

And this time, it’s the first time in my life I wrote to an unknown person outside my country… I have some experience in the communication with the “foreigners”… My Grandfather was one of the greatest Soviet Photographers and he was Abroad - I think you know, that most people here during the Soviets couldn’t “get out”… And my father is a translator, and since the late 80es he’s working in the Moscow Bureau of the NYT, so all of my life I saw people from many countries… not only the Americans… My Brother, who is 12 years me senior, in the 1990es married a girl, who was half Russianm half Brasilian, (her grandfather was the Chief (“gensek”) of the Brasillian Communistic Party - so when later I was in Brasil, were lot of these Presteses, who spent half of their life in Russia and spoke both Portugese and Russian… So I used to communicate with the people abroad, but they were the ones I knew from the Real Life, mostly journalists or their kin - it’s the first time I just typed the words, that are actual for me in a search engine, and “ ( ... )
